The Voice of the Merchant survey initiative is something that Shawna was completely unfamiliar with until her lead, Rye, brought it up to her in a 1:1 meeting. Rye thought that Shawna would be a great fit for the specialization and so she asked if she would like to be set up for a meeting with the lead of the survey initiative - Jon. Shawna is always up for a challenge and to learn new things, so of course she said yes! From the moment she learned what was involved, she knew that this was an excellent path for her to follow on her Shopify journey.
The Voice of the Merchant program has enlightened her, inspired her, and challenged her in amazing ways. Having the ability to connect with merchants who may have "slipped through the cracks" and rebuild their trust in Shopify is a very rewarding position to be in.
